Antidepressant medications are commonly used to treat depression but are also prescribed for anxiety. Some of these medications date back to the 1950s and have been used extensively for various different psychiatric treatments.
Antidepressants are not a "cure" for these psychiatric disorders, but it can provide relief for certain people that take it.
Some people have very good experiences with this medication, and others learn that it is not for them, seeking other ways to help bring them relief.
