Everyone knows there is no secret to parenting. Every child that is trying to discover who they are as a person is going to go through several trials and tribulations growing up.
All of this is heightened when raising your child who is apart of the LGBTQ+ community. Belonging to this community can be an avenue of strength, but brings a unique set of challenges.
As a parent it can be hard knowing if you are giving your child the correct support so they are able to navigate through life. Especially since recent studies show that members of the LGBTQ+ community are at a higher risk of experiencing mental health conditions, most commonly anxiety and depression.
