A huge thanks to our episode sponsor, Retrieving Freedom Inc. They not only connected us with our cohost, Patrick Genseal but they are also working towards an amazing mission that NEEDS to be talked about.
The mission of Retrieving Freedom, Inc. is to change lives through the training and placement of Service Dogs for Veterans with disabilities and children with autism.
This nonprofit organization has a training program that is not designed to have each dog a certain program. Instead, the facility will train the dogs to meet the specific needs of their client. The dogs will go through more than two years of training to meet the strict standards for a successful placement.
Patrick, an Air Force Veteran is one of the many success stories within the RT organization and loves to share about him and his dog June. On the episode he talks about his time as a Chaplain, and the things that he carried with him back from being overseas. He never knew he needed the services of RT, but walking around at the Missouri State Fair, his curiosity sparked when he saw the nonprofit sharing their services.
Be looking out at Mental Health Happy Hour social media to share the upcoming YouTube channel that Patrick is making with his adventures with June.
